ALL AGES are welcome!

Join us on Vacation Isle to kayak under the stars, then paddle into the best seat in the house for the fireworks show. You’ll be directly beneath the spectacle, and the booms will echo through your kayak. Get ready for a front-row seat to the magic!

🎇 Fireworks start at 9:50 PM — but we’ll paddle out beforehand. Don’t miss the journey!

⏰ Please arrive by 8:15 PM at the latest.

🧥 What to Wear:

Expect a wet butt — it’s part of the fun! These are open-top kayaks, so getting splashed is all part of the ride.

I’ll be in swim trunks and a thin long-sleeve sport shirt. If you’re sensitive to cold, consider an extra layer.
Comfort is key!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was an incredible experience! I have never been so close to fireworks and now, I am not sure I can ever go back. No, upfront and center is the absolute best way to see the fireworks!!! Also, Joe was a great guide- not only did we get a unique experience for the SD night life on the bay as a kayaker, he also shared some curious biological education about critters above and under water. I can't wait to do this again. I do recommend stretching before and after as it still a full body work out, though it hardly feels like it.

What an amazing experience! I may never look at fireworks the same way again. Joe is very knowledgeable and explains everything thoroughly. If you've never kayaked before or you're hesitant,  Joe is the guy you want to teach and guide you. You won't be disappointed, just book it.

 Verified Joined the July 4th kayak tour to watch the fireworks and it was an amazing experience. Apparently he does this weekly for SeaWorld fireworks too. Joe is such an upbeat guide with a focus on safety. Definitely recommend.

I went kayaking for the first time ever with Joe yesterday and it was such an amazing experience! Joe brings his expertise as an instructor and has a way of making you feel very comfortable right away. You're provided with the works: kayaks, gloves, lifejackets, water, waterproof phone cases, and instruction on paddling and maneuvering. We got to see the last fireworks of the summer super close up, from basically right underneath them, and we even got to see bioluminescence in the ocean! Our group had such great energy and our trip was filled with laughter and great conversation. The experience was equal parts adventure, fun, and magic. I can't recommend it enough. Thanks, Joe!

 Verified Kayaking and Fireworks I had a great time kayaking with Joe in Mission Bay. He provided everything we needed and made it all so easy and comfortable. We have had an amazing time out on the water every time we have gone out kayaking with Kayak Joe SD. I feel safe  and can just enjoy the scenery from a different perspective. It's priceless to experience something for the first time, and I suggest going out to REALLY see some fireworks because seeing it from a kayak near under them is like seeing them for the first time and really puts to shame any other time you've ever seen a show. (Historically and in the future.. seriously set the bar high, prepare to be disappointed seeing them in any other way than in a kayak in the bay..) Joe provides everything you need to get going, all you need is yourself in some clothes that you've accepted will get wet, and a will to paddle your lil heart out. 10/10, recommend often, have been multiple times, will go again, looking forward to other kayaking events with Kayak Joe SD.

 Verified My family took a night kayak tour with Joe and had a blast!  He was super helpful with tips, yet laidback enough that he was one of our party on the night of the fireworks.  The perfect balance - NO PUN INTENDED! Seeing the fireworks directly overhead was unlike any other show.

 Verified Fantastic experience! A highlight of our trip to Del Mar was meeting Joe and going on a night kayak underneath the fireworks with him. He’s a sweetheart and full of trivia about the area. We highly recommend this laid-back night outing for all ages. Experiencing fireworks directly overhead was a real treat!
